This is beginning to drive me insane. I've been receiving a multitude of different BSOD errors. my rig is:

AMD fx9590
H110i GTX
ASRock Fatal1ty 970 Performance
GTX 980
Corsair Vengeance 2 x 8gb 1866mhz
San Disk Plus SSD 120gb
HHD 750gb 7200rpm
EVGA 750g
Windows 10 Home 64bit

I have been getting mostly:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED - (driver responsible ntfs.sys)

Other drivers I have seen responsible are: amdppm.sys

I have done a clean install of Windows from an ISO downloaded from their website this morning, and according to Windows Update all is updated.
I have the latest Nvidia driver WITHOUT GeForce Experience because I am aware of driver conflict issues.
Cooling in my PC is fine, CPU never going over 50c, MOSFETS never going over 60c, GPU hitting max 72c.

Driver support on my mobo is confusing - there appear to be no SATA/chipset drivers apart from AMD all in 1 Driver. Downloaded that as custom installation and checked off GPU driver from Catalyst. Yet, I am still getting BSOD.

Memory is all tested and fine on Memtest.

SSD is new. However, I have crashed a few times and on reboot, my PC has tried to do a disk-check. On latest relaunch of windows, windows asks me to restart pc to fix disk errors.

I have BSOD twice during writing this.

I'm stumped as to what to do, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello again altuss

Apologies for the delayed response.

If an update for your BIOS is available, I would suggest you to go for it in order...
Hello altuss

If I were you, I would have avoided installing the latest drivers and would have tried their lower versions instead.

If the problem persists even after following the above suggestion, you can try disabling the Windows Update service from the Services snap-in (type SERVICES.MSC in the Run command box and press Enter to open it) to keep Windows from updating itself automatically, and then try installing the drivers.

Feel free to report back if this doesn't work and you need further assistance in this.

Cheers!! :)

Hiya,

I should mention that the error started to occur this time round when I installed 2 new fans.

I removed both of my HDD's (after suspecting my 7 year old HDD might be the issues) and that seemed to resolve the problem. I managed to play 1 game of Evolve Stage 2 and half way through the second game, I got another BSOD for KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED.

I seem to have these issues once every 3 months, which tends to resolve itself after 4/5 fresh installs of windows over the course 2 weeks. I have bought many parts since these issues first arose. The only permanent components are my CPU and Motherboard.

I tried your suggestions and it did not work, Viveknayyar. I am starting to suspect the issues may be caused by an out-of-date BIOS version? My PC BSOD during a fresh install of windows earlier today (all drives were formatted and clean). But I am scared of flashing a new version and bricking my motherboard.

I am currently running BIOS version P1.20. Do you think the BIOS needs updating? The latest version is 1.30 according to the manufacturer's website.

Or perhaps is my RAM not compatible with my motherboard/CPU? I have Corsair Vengeance CMY16GX3M2A1866C9.
I PC has run fine with this ram until now. I'm losing all motivation, if someone could tell me if it is compatible I would assume that this is the cause of my issues.

I noticed that my Ram was running at 1333mhz and have changed the speed and the DRAM profile to XMP 1.3 accordingly in the BIOS. I have also set the timings to 9-10-9-27. I'm not sure if this is what has been causing the issue, but seeing as KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error indicates memory, I am hoping this is a fix.

Setting the RAM speeds is also something I have never done on my rig, so perhaps this is why I have been having the same issues over and over. For now, if anyone could answer my query about the BIOS update, that would be incredible helpful. I just want my pc to be stable 🙁

Hello again altuss

Apologies for the delayed response.

If an update for your BIOS is available, I would suggest you to go for it in order to eliminate many issues that your PC may face otherwise.

However, before doing so, make sure you back up your currently running BIOS and confirm if you can restore it from the backup.

Cheers!! :)
