BSOD multiple times

Hi, hoping someone can help me. I fear my computer is riddled with a virus or about to die. Both my husband and I have been receiving various BSOD. Sometimes it's just a standard error, but others have been "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL", "bad_pool_caller" and "An attempt was made to write to read-only memory"
I have a Sony Vaio E series VPCEE25FG. I have tried running malware bytes both in normal and safe mode with no success. I can't seem to update drivers. Although a while ago I did try and change the driver for my touch pad as it has been playing up.
Please let me know what info I can provide so you can assist me.
p.s, I am not the most computer literate, so please bare with me

Have been trying to back up data. But is proving near impossible due to Bsod. Any ideas?....please.
