Hello folks,

I've recently completed a build where I installed a new Asus x570e Strix board with a new 5950x cpu. I took the 2080ti from my old computer and put that in as well along with the primary SSD drive from that machine.

My RAM is: Corsair CMW64GX4M2K4000C18 Vengeance RGB Pro 64GB(2 x 32GB) DDR4 Memory 4000MHz PC4 32000 1.35V Intel XMP 2.0 Black

I am running into an issue where my computer is now blue screening on first startup after the geforce drivers are installed. This started happening when I started the install for the AURA utility. This may have been a coincidence. Anyway, I will go into safe mode, remove the device completely and its software. Safe mode appears to be stable. It will reboot into Windows 10 regular mode, and here I find that it first shows in low res due to lack of drivers, but after a little bit some old drivers are installed and the resolution changes. This is actually a stable state. I am on it right now actually as I type this post and there doesn't seem to be an issue. I can even run rocket league.

Now, if I go ahead and restart from this point, as soon as it hits the Windows Login screen I get the bluescreen video TDR error, pointing to nvlddmkm.sys. I can return to the stable Windows state by going into safe mode and doing the same steps all over again to remove the device. I have run the system file check scans as well.

I have provided a link to a minidump in case anyone could help me out. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VczZjfQZJq__K2DFLQqDXCBe1AkBjC9P/view?usp=sharing

Thanks so much!

Solution
Great question. I am attempting to run this from the old machine. My hope was to keep as much in tact as possible. I'm fairly open to installing a new copy of Windows 10 though.
Install a fresh copy of windows and then test.
You might want to remove the old ssd and set it aside then do the install on a new ssd.
If you can get the machine to function you can then copy stuff from the old ssd.

Was there a clean install of windows in this mix or are you trying to run the OS from the old machine?

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually tried removing the AURA stuff first and it actually appears that things are working now. I saw somewhere on another thread that this software was kind of shaky, and it looks to be the case for me.

I will be moving my Windows drive to the new nvme, wish me luck!

Thanks
