Hello,
I just started play again WoT but i got problem with BSOD. My PC is absolutly stable and i cant remember if i got any BSOD while i played games.

I played someting about 1 hour then i got BSOD - NMI_HARDWARE_FAILURE hal.dll (more informations are in dumps)

Temperatures are okey. Disk looks too okay.
Win 10
i7 875k
gtx 970

Here is link for dmbs: http://leteckaposta.cz/880234364

Thank you
(Of course i will give you more infromation if you will need it)

Solution
I was going to ask if they happened when you did specific things

It seems it can be caused by Graphics drivers, only lack of BSOD will tell us for sure (they don't wave a white flag and surrender)
Bug Check 0x80: NMI_HARDWARE_FAILURE
The NMI_HARDWARE_FAILURE bug check has a value of 0x00000080. This bug check indicates that a hardware malfunction has occurred.

Cause - A variety of hardware malfunctions can cause the NMI_HARDWARE_FAILURE bug check. The exact cause is difficult to determine.
Resolution - Remove any hardware or drivers that have been recently installed. Make sure that all memory modules are of the same type.

MS LInk

I can't say I ever seen this one before... Worst part is it has no parameters so working out what it is with the dump might be fun. I can't read them anyway... not sure if using Who crashed would show any useful info

can you give a full list of specs? How old is the power supply?

I just thought i quote the essentials here, excluding power supply as its not listed The only example I found of this error seems to point at it being the power supply. If PC is 7 years old, it might be itme to replace it as they don't last forever. On my last PC mine went bang at about that age.

The error doesn't point at anything specific which makes it interesting.

try running memtest86 on your ram, 1 stick at a time any errors mean stick needs to be replaced

try running intel processor diagnostic Tool on CPU

i must be blind, i just saw your dump files, they might show us the cause - I just can't read them myself.

Okey, thanks again.
I tried Memtest by Windows 10 tool, cause i could not find flash-disk. But i will try normal memtest - It will be more trustful than this Windows tool.

That "intel processor diagnostic Tool" passed absolutly without problem with low temperatures.

I will run "memtest86", then I'll write you with the results.

This is screenshot from BSODView - https://ctrlv.cz/shots/2017/02/03/1AZ0.png (Probably useless information but maybe it can help :))

ntoskrnl = new technology operating system kernel - Windows won't run without this, it does many different jobs
hal.dll = Hardware Abstraction layer - it handles communication with hardware

I would be surprised if it is ram, its not a normal ram error.,.. its not normal at all really. Most errors I have seen before (or should I say, the most common errors as there are a lot I never have seen) have steps you can do to figure out the cause. This one seems to a process of elimination

Not CPU, it doesn't feel like a HDD error but you can run the free version of hdtune and check them

3.3V 3.440 V
+5V 5.160 V
+12V 11.710 V

voltages look okay (I didn't think to look for them on pastebin)

NMI stands for Non Maskable Interrupt, meaning an interrupt sent from a device that the processor cannot ignore. If one were to shut off NMI then the the computer boots into Windows just fine (logically so because of the fact that all nonmaskable interrupts are now ignored...not necessarily a good thing).

The most common use of NMI is to signal a parity error from the memory subsystem. This error must be dealt with immediately to prevent possible data corruption.

seems it could be ram, might help to clean the ram sticks and slots

hwinfo:
+12V: Current: 12.5V Min: 12.5V Max 12.6V
+3.3V: Current: 3.44V Min: 3.42V Max 3.44V
+3.3V: Current: 3.44V Min: 3.42V Max 3.44V
+5V: Current: 5.04V Min: 5.01V Max 5.04V

I notice strange temperatures on interesting sensors, idk what is it - screen: https://ctrlv.cz/shots/2017/02/03/p0Mc.png
(I think its just bugged (not supported))

hdtune said almost same like crystal disk info, but in info is "someting yellow - warning".
Spin retry count - Current 100 Worst 100 Data 0 - Status OK

But in overall disk is absolutly okay.

Edit. i didnt see your reply :) So i will do memtest.

100 is max so odd its showing a warning. Obviously you missed my edit where I saw voltages :)

You can try Seatools for windows and see what Seagate think of their drive. This is not a normal hdd error so I didn't really think it was them... just removing them from list.

Often there are sensors that give wrong temps, I have one that always shows 128C which I think I would notice if it was true

Memtest passed okey too.

I wrote email about this BSOD to Wargaming (WoT). They send me reply and said something like - they have issues with some new version of GPU drivers. I just download different version i am testing it for 2 hours without BSOD. (But i got them random, so maybe i am just lucky)

Is it possible that due to an error (issue) in the game I got bsod?
