Hello, I have a fairly old HP desktop Model: Pavilion m7790y. The problem is that when i turn on the PC and after the windows 7 animated logo shows up, i receive a BSOD for exactly one second and then the PC reboots. So its stuck in this loop. i replaced the hard drive and installed a fresh copy for windows 7 ultimate but still the problem is there.
Things to note:
1) When i turn on the PC, on the motherboard screen that shows up before the windows 7 logo, the screen looks choppy (like the video card is acting up) but when it proceeds to the windows 7 animated logo, the screen looks fine. Could it be a graphics card problem? When the BSOD comes up the screen is also choppy.
Is there a procedure to find out which component is not working properly to fix this BSOD?
Thanks in advance for all your help! and please ask any questions you have.
