Hey all, just got my gaming rig and downloaded only a handful of software.
My specs are: CPU:i5 4690k GPU:970 strix MB: Gigabyte Z97x gaming 7 Ram: 16 gig
Cooling done with liquid cooling and radiator setup I've been experiencing a BSOD whenever I try using any of the Gigabyte proprietary tuning software. Currently my rig is set up to overclock, and its supposed to be stable at 4.3 ghz
BSOD error codes are:
KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE (happened when I tabbed out of Heroes of the Storm) (1st one and only happened once)
These are whenever I try to use any of the Gigabyte Propitiatory Software DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION(gdrv.sys) And then, now, recently after that BSOD, on reboot at the Windows sign in screen I'll get another BSOD: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
I've only downloaded a handful of things. I like the utility that the gigabyte software offers therefore I haven't tested to see if removing them would solve my issue, seeing as the software worked when I initially received my computer.
I believed that my Logitech g930 was the root of the crashes and I deleted logitech gaming software off my computer. Once I did this, I was actually able to open EasyTune or Thermal Control but after exiting out it returned back to crashing whenever I try opening any of Gigabytes software.

Solution
1| Can you specify the make and model of your ram(kit)?
2| Have you performed a test on you rams via memtest86+ by running for at least 10 passes?
3| Have you performed a motherboard BIOS update to version F8?
4| Overclocking is best done in the BIOS and not in software. So if you can try and tweak your system in BIOS and leave the software overclocking alone. In fact try uninstalling them and see if the issue is averted.

On that note, have you installed all the necessary drivers for your system downloading them from manufacturer's site such as Gigabyte and Nvidia? I'm also going to suspect that there may be a corruption in your OS files and or the drivers.

Last take on the issue, the LAN drivers might as well be the culprit. Mind you, are you connected to the Internet via wireless adapter or through a wired connection off Big Foot/Killer LAN port?
