Hello,

I still use a windows xp laptop and since recently, when I try to start it up it goes to the windows startup screen but just before it gets to the user selection part, the blue screen appears for a milisecond and it then crashes. I've tried many things for many different fora but none have worked. Help would really be appreciated.

You reinstalled windows ?

I have tried but don't really know how to honestly

Where can I find that? I can't see it anywhere in the BIOS.
Also, booting in safe mode with command prompt or booting at all doesn't work.

Sadly enough, it doesn't work either

I get to some kind of menu, the options are:

Safe mode
Safe mode with network options
Safe mode with prompt

Then there's five options I cant translate actually, but its something different

I've tried both the options, it just loads things and then before anything else appears it crashes (BSOD)

Can you help me with that?

The specs I know how to find:

Processor type: Pentium M
Current clock speed: 1.73 GHz
Processor Cache Size: 2048 KB
1024 MB RAM
Memory speed: 400 MHz
40GB HDD
Intel HD graphics
Video memory: 8 MB

That's it, I think

XP is fine for me too, I just need to get the pc working

Then you have to borrow it from someone who is carrying XP CD or else with someone carrying XP installation file and create a bootable USB. I don't think you can download XP from Microsoft website.

Peace.

Could you maybe help me find one? I've already used 3 CD's..
