Hello,
I purchased a GPU recently and came to know that it doesn't have a VGA port. Hence i had to order a HDMI to VGA converter in order to connect my VGA monitor to my GPU.

Link to the adapter ---> http://www.amazon.in/Terabyte-Hdmi-Converter-Adapter-Cable/dp/B00S0C76GQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487513614&sr=8-1&keywords=hdmi+to+vga
BSOD's pop up while playing games within the first 5- 10 Minutes, when i use the adapter.
when i switch to a HDMI enabled display (no adapter is used) these BSOD's don't appear at all.
is there something wrong with my adapter or some other issue???
MY PC rig is as follows

Intel core i3-2100 @3.1GHz
NVIDIA GTX 1050 GPU
4GB DDR3 RAM @ 1333MHz
Intel DH61WW moterboard

THANKS IN ADVANCE :)

Solution
some of them older boards may need updated bios to fully support these latest cards . could be that converter if faulty thing is these cards do not support analog native off the card so you now totally rely on them converters to work ..

try a older driver like one guy had stated ''NVidia seems to brake more then they fix these day with there driver releases ''

https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/978895/geforce-drivers/official-376-09-game-ready-whql-display-driver-feedback-thread-released-11-28-16-/21/

like here as one said go back to a known working driver - any driver can have bugs just because its a new driver don't make it a better driver

this is why I went with a NVidia 900 series it supports me...
Hey Colif,
thanks for looking into my problem..
Here's the BSOD report.. (Don't mind the date on BSOD, my CMOS battery needs to be replaced)

Crash dump directory: C:\Windows\Minidump

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

On Fri 1/1/2010 12:22:23 AM your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: Unknown (0xFFFFF80000E19980)
Bugcheck code: 0xC5 (0xFFFFF80000E19980, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF80002DBEB13)
Error: DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL
Bug check description: This indicates that the system attempted to access invalid memory at a process IRQL that was too high.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error.
Google query: DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL

''NVidia seems to break more then they fix these day with there driver releases"

Laughed at that one.

In some weird cases that might be the analogue output of your GPU, I once had flickering issues with VGA (I mean c'mon mate, they're 3 decades old, no one should use it now! hehe). Switched to HDMI, no problem. Your case might be very similar to mine. Sometimes it is just a thousand times better to make up for a simple fix than to look for something that takes a lot of time.

I still use a vga crt monitor with out issue ?? but I buy hardware that supports me not me having to support it . why buy a 10 series and then need to spend more on a new monitor or crazy converter adaptor ??? stupid in my book 900 series is plug and play all works out of the box with out any added expence with ALL my hardware and software ??? but the as they say a '' fool and his money are soon parted ''

let me know when a lcd / flat screen is better then crt anyway ?? you cant as far as running fast fps games crt is -0- lag and 100% dead nuts on spot

don't get me wrong I got 5 monitors of all types thing is 10 series don't support 1/2 as much as series of old and at a higher cost .. LOL.. suckers
