I have a new laptop (Lenovo Ideapad) and I have immediately been suffering BSODs. I imagine its graphics card related, most of the time its when Im watching youtube and I get the Video Schedular Internal Error message. Once I got the Video TDR Failure.

VLC Player cannot run on this laptop, the screen glitches out all weird and then the vlc just stays white and doesn't play anything. On Photoshop I get the message that says it might not work properly as there isn't enough VRAM, I dont know if thats a clue as to whats causing this whole issue.

I have updated the drivers, first through Window 10 update, then manually downloaded drivers from Lenovo's site. Nothing is helping. Does anyone have any idea what I could do to fix this issue?

I might try to do that if I don't find any way to fix this problem. However Im not paying for any kind of warranty so I don't know if that could be an issue. Unless there is some kind of general warranty that you get as standard, without having to buy it. I have only had the laptop for less than a week.

Is there anything you think I could do to fix this issue myself?

At less than a week you should have no trouble, assuming you didn't drop it or cause physical damage. Start by contacting the retailer you purchased it from. You may be able to return it through them and get a replacement. If you used a credit card, check with your credit card company. They can help also.

I see. I guess I will try everything I can to find a fix this weekend and then send it back Monday if there is nothing I can do. Like you said it probably will be a hardware problem because I had a BSOD literally the first day I started using the laptop, before I had a chance to even do anything.

Do you know if there is a way I can do some kind of diagnostic to at least know what the problem is that is causing this?
