Me and a friend are having a very difficult time shaking a BSOD we have been getting lately whenever we attempt to install something that uses the windows installer. Also, if the PC sits IDLE for longer than lets say 10 minutes it will get a BSOD as well. I have read through many forum posts relating to this issue, but have been unable to resolve this issue.

What we have done already is wiped the system clean and put a fresh copy of windows 7 64bit. I have even went out and replaced the RAM on the unit. The system is okay to play videos and games like SWTOR, WOW, Battlefield etc. But if nothing is running or if you try to install something you get the following error:

** stop: 0x00000050 (0xfffff880E7b66000, 0x0000000000000001, 0xfffffa80079b82e6, 0x0000000000000005)

We have ruled out the RAM on the PC being the problem, And when we checked for errors on the hard drive nothing came up in terms of errors. There is nothing installed on the PC right now except the basic drivers provided by the ASUS manufacture website.

Anyone have any ideas what this error message is trying to tell us? We cant figure it out.
