[SOLVED] BSOD SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED

I'm getting the BSOD "System Thread Exception not handled", from installing or attempting to install an Archer T5E Wi-Fi Bluetooth 4.2 card. I was wonder how I could fix this while still having the card installed. (The system runs completely fine if I remove the card and only gets the crash with it installed).

Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

1. Open Windows File Explore
   
2. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
   
3. Copy the mini-dump files out onto your Desktop
   
4. Do not use Winzip, use the built in facility in Windows
   
5. Select those files on your Desktop, right click them and choose 'Send to' - Compressed (zipped) folder
   
6. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)
   
7. Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .

Odd the May drivers are crashing. those are latest on MSI website, try the Intel one - https://www.intel.com.au/content/www/au/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html

if you update bios, do this as well - https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x570
as PC seems to be lacking in the AMD driver area.

if you decide to swap to LAN, update them too - Win10 Auto Installation Program (SId:1152921505693600553) under the windows header here - https://www.realtek.com/en/componen...0-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-pci-express-software

try updating vpn software as well.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the first link, it scans and then says that something goes wrong while trying to scan, what should I do? Also what does swapping to LAN mean?

swapping to LAN means, instead of using WIFI for internet, use a Ethernet cable. If you did that, you probably want the new drivers since yours are from 2019

Should I try installing the card again after all the driver updates? The intel website also says that the drivers are all up to date.

I tried installing another card because it feels like the bluetooth on it sucks, I'm not the most knowledgeable on this but I'm trying to use Airpods on my computer since they're wireless earbuds, but the sound on it frequently cuts out and it/ has a super short range. I tried installing the drivers for the other card before actually physically installing it and it seemed like it worked for a few hours last night but started crashing again.

Did you attach the aerial to the Motherboard? is it in a good spot? I hardly ever use mine and yet headphones I use seem to track ok. I have noticed with my headset I can still be attached to my BT at home even if I am outside and across the road

i have to mount mine on back of case as glass isn't magnetic

my connection sounds same as yours

card and onboard both have same drivers.
I don't know if you can get away with just disabling BT on the PC and leave the wifi active, you might need to disable both just to use the adapter

oh... now i feel like an idiot. Yea I never installed the antenna because I was using an ethernet cable. Thank you so much haha.

the aerial is for BT as well as WIFI, so that will help range no end

shame you bought the adapter but it might come in handy sometime.

Since I have installed Windows 10, I have never seen the blue screen of death. But when I was using Windows 7, I was seeing it once in one week. My CPU is weak, so when I was using my PC for a long period of time, it was always crashing. I have read about this error on softwaretesttips.com, so the only solution was t change the operating system or the CPU. I have installed Windows 10, which is more optimized, and now I don't have such problems. I even noticed that my CPU isn't overheating anymore.
