I bought a Radeon R9 270x GPU for my first computer build, but upon trying to install the drivers that came with the GPU, I am met with the BSOD. I then went online to find other drivers matching my software specs (Windows 8.1 64 bit and said graphics card), and I was greeted with Catalyst 14.4. I tried installing this program, but it too crashed my computer. Any ideas on what I should do would be greatly appreciated.

I feel extremely stupid, but I do not have my card in the case. When it was connected, I got VGA output because I have integrated video on my mobo. I can turn off the integrated video in BIOS but when I do that it doesn't work with the GPU because the drivers aren't installed. Kind of a Catch-22, I feel like I am missing something.

The computer boots just fine, except for the fact I get no video output whatsoever. Without the card it works fine. I'm not sure what that could mean.

where is the i/o panel?
