BSoD Video Scheduler Internal Error after assembly my build

Hi guys,

recently I've gave life to my new workstation but almost immediately it gave me this BSoD

My build is the follow:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
MoBo - Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro
GPU - nVidia 1060 6GB Zotac
RAM - g.skill https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c16d-32gvk
PSU - EVGA Supernova G3 550W

After updating all the things (drivers, BIOS, windows 10) I tested my RAMs with MemTest86 (0 errors), my CPU temps with Prime95 and my GPU with FurMarks (and it gave my this error (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl4kFvVw3UI)

Some users in the Italian forum told me that the problem was the incompatibility between RAMs and MoBo so I tried to enable the XMP from the BIOS but it gave me 3 beep error. I set manually the frequencies at 2933 mhz and seems to work but the BSoD stills there.

I've made an Amazon's return and I've bought the MoBo they recommended (AsRock B450 Pro4), it will arrive next week but I still have many doubt about the resolution of the problem.

The video scheduler error doesn't strike me as a motherboard one, more gpu or drivers. Your CPU has no gpu built in so any video errors are unlikely to be it, or motherboard.

Try this and depending who you got the NVIDIA drivers from before, get the next ones from the opposite. SO either NVIDIA, or Windows update (or if Zotac have their own drivers, try those if you haven't already) http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2767677/perform-clean-install-video-card-drivers.html

Its possible new motherboard will fix that simply as you will need to reinstall win 10 anyway and may get different drivers.
if CPU had a gpu built in I would suggest you use it, but it doesn't so I can't.... grumble

that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD
copy that file to documents
upload the copy from documents to a cloud server and share the link here and I will get someone to convert file into a format I can read

I didn't get the BSoD running FurMark. The GPU simply stop woking and the test freezing.
The BSoD happened often when I opened a directory or the start menu.
The directory's opening gave me often another type of error: the directory was totally black and when I ran the mouse on the elements they appear.

I can't try now your advice because I removed all the hardware to return the MoBo back to Amazon; but I made a mistake with the GPU driver because I only downloaded and installed it by the Zotac website (I've not tried Windows Update or nVidia).

Tuesday should arrive the next motherboard, I hope it will fix this problem (and I hope it will run my RAMs to 3200mhz), if not I will post the error dump here.

The RAM finally goes to 3200 mhz; the BSoD it's less frequently but still happen

EDIT: I've already clean my GPU driver with DDU and reinstalled new from nVidia website.

It appears you have the latest BIOS already installed, version 1.30.

If the new motherboard is a different model than you one previously had then you will probably need to reinstall Windows and all drivers.

NVidia doesn't have a good record when it comes to drivers. Maybe one out of every 5 work out for me. I would run DDU again in safe mode and then let Windows Update install the NVidia driver for you. It will likely be an older (and maybe better version).

I also think the advice given on [this page] could be useful for you:

Try later and/or earlier drivers
Measure the GPU's temperatures at idle and under load
Ensure the GPU is free from dust build up and that the fan is working correctly
Reseat the GPU and check all connections are securely made
Check PSU voltages in BIOS
Try a different card in the system

Most the information I posted above is for Colif (and you of course). I can't really help with it. Wait for additional replies. Good luck.

I don't feel qualified to answer a question about Nvidia drivers when my own card itself is having problems getting the drivers to stay on. The Windows update drivers (388.13) seem the most stable for me. They are from last year, might work better than the October drivers you are using now. I have spent last 40+ days trying to get my Nvidia card to behave, I know its not a hardware fault in my case.

These next 2 aren't problems, just gaps in the program Gardenman uses to convert files.

i wonder what GLCKIO2.sys is, in the past we thought it was an Asus driver but your board is Asrock, and those 2 companies separated years ago. might not be cause, just being curious. Might be something to do with RGB

gdrv2.sys = Gigabyte driver, probably part of App center or like the above one, part of RGB controls.

I clean up my windows installation and the error happened often than previous.
After changed my MoBo the system was pretty stable (only 2-3 BSod and the GPU test with FurMark finally doesn't stop), now is worst than before.

Reading online the dxgmms2.sys file seems to be related to a driver/hardware malfunction.

Some says that is related to Hardware Acceleration and maybe this is the "point".
Maybe it's just a coincidence but I noted that the BSoD happened often when I open Google Chrome with "Hardware acceleration" on.

The problem now is that I build this workstation because I have to use it whit After Effects, Premiere, ecc.. that have the GPU Acceleration mode that I need to work, and if it will not work would be a shame.

I'm thinking to return also the GPU.

The file you are talking about (glckio2 and gdrv2) maybe came from the previous installation of the system because the Dump was not extracted by a clean installation. If you want, I can upload the dump from the clean installation that i'm using now.

dxgmms2.sys = Direct X. Most of the time you get this error it is the GPU drivers. It might be the card but as Gardenman said, the NVIDIA drivers are hit and miss, and you may have better luck on other ones. I wasn't very professional in last reply, I don't need to bother people with my problem even if its constantly in back of my mind.

My PC turns monitor off randomly when i watch YouTube so maybe I should turn off hardware acceleration. Problem is so random I cannot tell. It also just started randomly as card is 3 years old. Hardware seems pretty solid since it survived a 48 hour stress test in last 2 days. So its software but what software? GPU drivers get blamed everytime. This is why we say their software is not consistent and sometimes their drivers cause weird bugs. Its just a matter of finding good ones.

If AMD cards were competitive they would have to fix their drivers.

So, what I've should do?
Tried the nVidia 388.13 but still crashing when I open Chrome with Hardware acceleration on.
Should I try and try to uninstall and install video drivers untill it works?

FurMark test only worked once yesterday right after I installed my new MoBo, now it's freezing immediately.

I'm literaly getting crazy, this is my first build and I'm smashing my head against the wall thinking of what it costs me.

I've also followed the guide from Driver Easy to disable hardware acceleration in the registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software - Microsoft - Avalon.Graphics - DisableHWAcceleration, the system seems to be more stable but when I able HA in Chrome it gave me for some moments black frames.
However I'll need the HA for work.

Did you clean install after getting new motherboard?? it would remove old drivers that could be cause. Two motherboards, same errors, the BSOD is generally old or corrupted drivers. but with NVIDIA old doesn't always mean bad. It could also just be a bad GPU, have you tried it in another PC?

Yes, I've installed system and drivers after the MoBo's installation but the problem was worst than before.

Trying to change the way of GPU's power (FurMark still freezing) I've also burned the HDD, I wanna cry.

UPDATE: I'm trying to use the system with one RAM at time.

1st RAM: (at the moment) I've see no errors and FurMarks GPU's test goes well.
2nd RAM: BSod, system errors but FurMarks GPU's test also goes well.
Both RAM: no FurMarks, BSoD.

I think the problem was the RAM.
I used the pc with the 1st RAM for more than one and half hour and nothing bad happened.
Next week will come the new RAMs (same model). I'll update you.
