Hello everyone!

I've pulled my hair out for this issue, sat debugging for the entirety of my sunday yesterday.
What happened was that my CPU overheated when I was playing some games, so the computer shutdown giving me a BSOD to warn me about it.

I took off the cooler to replace the thermal paste, but the old paste had hardened and so the CPU got pulled out with it. A few bent pins, but I straightened them out.

Now, I can get to the BIOS, but whenever I tried to boot up Windows, it got stuck on manufacturer logo or BSOD with a variety of messages (different every time). E.g "System thread exception not handled", "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL", "Kernel heap mode corruption".

I thought that maybe the Windows i installation was corrupted, so I went to buy a USB stick, and also got an M.2 SSD, but when I booted up the Windows installer on the USB, I still got BSOD.

I then tried to pull out all the old SSDs and use only the M.2 SSD, and then I actually got to the Windows installer. but when selecting a drive to install Windows on, the M.2 SSD was not shown, but I could see it in the BIOS.

I think I've basically read every single google thread that exists.
I've tried
* Updating BIOS
* Using only one stick of ram
* Making sure CMS, secure boot, fast boot are disabled.

My specs:
Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus
CPU: Ryzen 5800X
RAM: 4 sticks of 8gb ram, I tried switching between all of these
M.2 SSD: Kingston NV2 Gen 4 1TB

What do you think? Is my CPU just dead? It just seems so weird since I sometimes actually get through to boot up the windows installation :S Maybe not dead but not really functioning either.

Edit 1: I took out the M.2 SSD and tried only with my ssd with windows on it. Its repairing atm. I don't understand why it BSODs when I have more than 1ssd? Or maybe its the M.2? or it could still be the CPU. Idk.

Edit 2: Startup repair failed.

That is never a good sign and inspite of all your efforts to repair the pins, it is always going to be hit and miss.
I would suggest to try the CPU on another board or try another CPU on that board to narrow it down further.
