BSOD when playing games

whenever i use the comp to play movies browse the net or do anything except for playing games it works fine
but as soon as i try to play a game the time varies but at some point it will crash i belive this is something to do with the video card drivers,

specs:
CPU: AMD phenom II x6 1055T
GPU: SApphire HD 6770
RAM: 4gb kingston ddr3
Mobo: Asrock extreme 3
PSU: power & Cooling silencer 750 watt quad blue

hows your cpu and gpu temps? is your cpu overclocked?

37 celcius idle
67 celcius idle

if gpu is 67 at idle then once its under load it does esplain things. check the temps you wrote and write it one more time for both cpu and gpu

Woah 37 isn't great for your CPU but 67 idle is terrible. Use afterburner or evga precision to get an OSD to look at your temps. I bet they top 100c

Have had the side of the comp case off for several months now, GPU and CPU fan both look clean i just took out the Graphics card, when i put it back in and booted up for the first time it had a red light on so i turned off and startup again then it booted fine

Now its idling at 60

and with open case, do you live somewhere tropic?

\\sn open case will introduce a crap ton of dust. Keep it closed. Maybe new thermal paste in need and a thorough heatsink clean.

CPU: idle 37 celcius
GPU: idle 67 celcius

I can't get underload temps because as soon as i try to play a game or run furmark it crashes, yes open case i live in the philippines 35~37 celcius room temp

That means you GPU will crash as it's too hot. Clean out the dust and get something to cool it

Just found out that the fan is not working, when you first turn the machine on the fan goes round a couple of turns then just stops any ideas?

make sure you card is secure, and the 2 pin fan connector is connected properly, also check if you have any 6 pin pice connections as well

fixed fan downloaded msi afterburner and set the speed at 100%
now idles at 40 and underload at 65max is this normal?

65 underload with 100% is normal, but loud......does the fan work on auto? if not set it around 40% itll cool it down nice and keep it at a descent DB noise level

fan was working fine last night but now fan stopped again it just keeps twitching trying to start

GPU-Z identifies card as a 5770 WTF and all other sofware afterburner kombustor etc
how can i fix this flashing a new bios? maybe this is the cause of the fan not working
