This system also worked with an old install of windows 10 on the NVME drive. I just wanted to reinstall since I changed boards since and previous had a lot of junk installed.
So I run the Windows 10 installer in UEFI mode and it seems like everything is going well. It hits about 93% of "Getting files ready for installation" and it will have random BSOD or just becomes completely unresponsive.
I'm on latest bios.
I tried resetting bios defaults.
I tried loading the Samsung NVME Express driver before the install.
Tried under clocking CPU and/or Ram.
Disabling secure boot
Now...
I can install to a Sata SSD drive without any issues.
Specs:
Asus Strix Z270I
7700K
Samsung 950 Pro NVME
Crucial 3200 ram
Tried with and without my GTX 1070
Any hints on what to try would be greatly appreciated, for now I gotta step away from this computer I think I put a good 4 hours into this with no luck.
