[SOLVED] BSOD with Windows 7 ?

helping my brother in law, he had an old dell he wanted to move over into a new case, well a new case wound up being: case, new motherboard, new ram and a new power supply...everything is installed but when the pc is turned on we get the pop up logo for the mother board, then a screen that windows failed to start with 2 options:

"Launch Startup Repair" or "Start Windows Normally" but neither works, both go to the blue screen of death with the message that "The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant".....

We've updated bios for the motherboard to latest, only component being used from the original dell is the hard drive, any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you change the motherboard you have to perform a fresh install of Windows.
