Hi all,
About 2 months ago i upgraded my pc but kept the gfx and psu which i bought about a year ago. my specs are these:
Cooler master Stryker
asus z87 plus
i7 4770k (stock)
evo 212 cooler
GTX 660 EVGA SC 2gb
8gb Corsair vengeance 1600mhz
PSU 750 watt OCZ z series
1Tb Seagate Barracuda HDD
1600x900 res
It all worked perfectly fine until about 3 days ago when the blue screen problem first appeared. I did not install any software at that time. I reinstalled the ram and graphics card , I tried re installing graphic card drivers but all of these to no avail as the problem still persists at random times. Even while surfing it happens and sometimes while gaming too. CPU Temperatures were checked and are normal 37 degrees idle - 62 degrees on load and gfx temps were also normal considering it crashes also while not having load on it. I installed a software called Whocrashed which identified that the problem is from the module "hal.dll" which is located in the system32 folder.
If someone has any idea what the problem is would be very much appreciated. Thanks alot for your support. An image of BSOD is here :
