Hey, I get around 1 bsod every week, today I turned my pc on and this was the bsod:

On Sun 19/09/2021 20:50:28 your computer crashed or a problem was reported
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\091921-8484-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x3F71C0)
Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x6001, 0xFFFFFFFFC0000010, 0x281A6730000, 0xFFFFB90D71C75A50)
Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.
This might be a case of memory corruption. This may be because of a hardware issue such as faulty RAM, overheating (thermal issue) or because of a buggy driver. This problem might also be caused because of overheating (thermal issue).
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

RAM is the most common issue for BSODs in my opinion. I still recommend doing a RAM test before doing anything else. You need to get a flash drive and test it out. It may or may not be the issue, but it's worth spending the time on it.
Alright will do, I'll order a usb this week, what did the mjni dumps say, thanks!

We'll have to wait for Colif to reply on the minidumps. Here's the results: https://jsfiddle.net/btpvzsa3/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

Tons of errors. The file itself may or may not be partially corrupted. But there's so many errors that I had to remove them first before sending them though my software, or else it would sit there for a day processing all of the errors. The results should be around 10,000 bytes. It was well over 1 million bytes if I included all of the errors.

Personally, I'm guessing here, but I'd say it's a hardware error of some type. I base this guess upon the dumps not pointing to a driver and instead blaming ntoskrnl, exe (Windows itself). I recommend testing the hardware with everything you can find. RAM, Drives, etc. If changing the RAM settings made it work better, then that's a sign.

MB sees - BL8G36C16U4WL.M8FE1

Here are your sticks - https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/bl8g36c16u4wl
Crucial Ballistix RGB 8GB DDR4-3600 Desktop Gaming Memory (White)

Crucial memory finder for your motherboard doesn't list that but does show this:

BL2K8G36C16U4WL - https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/bl2k8g36c16u4wl/ct19496085
Crucial Ballistix RGB 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3600 Desktop Gaming Memory (White)

is this a set of 2 sticks or did you buy 2 individual sticks? As sets are tested to make sure both sticks work together, individual sticks have no guarantees. So Try running with 8gb and see if it works any better or just buy the 2x8gb set like Crucial tested PC for.

Since your last BSOD isn't one I see often, and it only happened after messing with ram, I would consider maybe getting ram that Crucial have tested to work with motherboard, if you can

Hey Colif, I want to thank you guys so much, yesterday I asked Amazon to refund my 6 month old B550, thankfully they did so and now I'll strip the whole pc, what board should I get?
I have a budget for £160 and a 5800x.

Also the sticks were a set of 8x2 on amazon

Also when I order the Steel Legend (if you guys approve of if), I want to have a fresh install off windows, would I have to format my ssd in the asrock bios?

No need to format. Use the media creation tool to download/copy Win10 to a (USB) flash drive.

Very important: Unplug all other drives except the one that you are going to install to. If you don't, it's likely that some parts of Windows will be installed to a 2nd drive. Then if you ever remove that 2nd drive, your Windows will not boot.

Boot to the flash drive and install. It will allow you to erase any data on the drive you are going to install to.
