BSODS All the time while gaming only.

Hello guys,for a while now i have blue screens while gaming only! sometimes i dont have any of these blue screens but after some hours i get 1 blue screen then the POST shows some wierd green dots and it freezes. After i restart my computer it dosent boot up it blue screens again and again. But after some bluescreens the computer boots up perfectly.

*UPDATE : I Just finished a windows memory diagnostic tool,no errors. After that i got another blue screen while using chrome.

put a memory dump on a cloud server like microsoft one drive, share the file for the public and post a link.

Do you have another stick of RAM to test with?

I am no expert in this, but the first thing I would do is try different RAM. In your case, you have a single channel, so you just have to find a different stick...

Guys,i used another stick of ram (4g ddr3 1600mhz) and NO bsods at all! used the 8g ram on my friend mobo too but same thing...i bought the ram brand new,do u guys think it might be ur mobos? caus the models are really really old.

OK. Here are the steps to follow:

1st. RMA that stick of ram! Chances are that you got a bad stick. No big deal.

2nd. If the BSODs continue, replace the motherboard with a better brand such as MSI or Asus.

Those are the only things to do now. I know that the ecs motherboards have pretty bad RAM compatibility, so that could also be you problem. I doubt it, as the machine still boots.

a year ago I read a study about the defect rate of RAM being about 7%.
Note: it was considered a defect if the RAM failed tests when running at the published specifications.
(often they would work if running slower than spec speeds)

You should be able to. Just contact the manufacturer via RMA ticket, and make sure to have your receipt on hand...
