BSODs on Brand New Desktop

My friend recently purchased a CyberPower GUA880 (http://). We replaced the included graphics card with a GTX650ti before booting it for the first time.

Today we booted the computer, installed all of the drivers, and went on our way to using it. Unfortunately, every 30-60 minutes when idle, we get a BSOD or random reboot.

When it reboots, we check the event log and it says "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck."

When it BSODs, we were originally getting the DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL error. I reinstalled most of the drivers and that seemed to fix the problem. Now we are getting BSODs that just say "A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated." The stop code is 0x0F4. Unfortunately, event log does not offer any useful information here. It just has "CRITICAL ERROR"s that say that the computer recovered from an unexpected crash.

I was initially worried about overheating so we checked temps and everything is under 30C. The fans are all running. The 650ti recommends a 500W PSU and this computer comes with that so I don't think it's that.

Why would a brand new computer out of the box have these issues? I'm lost and I want to help him enjoy his new computer. Thanks in advance for any help!

Yeah he actually got fed up with it and took it to Geek Squad (shudder) and they said it was a faulty motherboard, something to do with the RAM slots. I guess he's getting a replacement. Thanks for the help anyways!
