BT will not upgrade my dads hub after been a customer for over 20 years

Hi there,

My old man has been a customer with BT now for over 20 years and the tight bastards are trying to make him pay for a hub upgrade at the same time they are flogging these new hubs out to new joining customers for free!, hes also made do with the origional vision box aswell which they have also not upgraded!

I feel now its my duty to have a word with these people myself but before I do I need a good case to specify how the new equipment would be of advantage over the old, can anyone please help me, any help will be much appreciated.

I already know that the hub 5 when compared with the hub 3 that he's been stuck with has a much greater transfer speed within a lan network, now would this increase his internet speed when surfing?. Also hes not shy in subscribing with them hes on 60mb broadband unlimited with infinity broadband, and his phones with them to!

any advise are technical info that I can put forward to these people will be greatly appreciated.

Personally, I moved away from BT, as phone provider, a few years ago. I've never had their broadband package because I found it was more expensive and more restrictive than the competition.

SO, I guess what I'm saying is, don't just threaten to move away, actually move away and find yourself a better deal.
