BT Yahoo Slow Connecting

I have a laptop operating Windows Vista sitting next to my Desktop PC operating Windows XP SP3. Both are linked wirelessly through BT Broadband Hub 3 to BT Yahoo. The laptop loads easily and fairly quickly, but the PC on XP is very slow and after sometime internet explorer window states it cannot connect. I've tried managing IE add ons and run Micosoft FIXIT along with disc clean up and defrag but to no avail. Loading Explorer and connecting to the internet via google toolbar is OK, it is just loading BT Yahoo which is the problem. Can anyone help?

What version of Internet Explorer do you have? Try to upgrade browser and also install flash player plug-in. Win xp supports internet Explorer 8.
