Bubble popping noise coming from laptop speakers? EMI?

So I have a Dell XPS15 which is 3 years old. I have it plugged into a vizio tv through an hdmi cable and the audio is through the tv and an amp which has 2 bookshelf speakers. I also have a subwoofer. Audio card is updated. All of this is on my desk. Recently I have been getting a weird bubble popping sound coming from the laptop. It is completly random and I hear it unplugged from the tv, through headphones and with nothing plugged in. I don't have any viruses. It went away after I switched ac adaptors plugs but then when I disconnected my laptop and plugged it back it came back. I think it may be EMI caused by the bookshelf speakers and tv? How can I get rid of this? It's driving me insane.

Have you tried updating sound drivers?

perhaps check your cords for damage.

and consider longer cords if you think it is EMI.
