Question Budget 5.1 Speaker system for laptops (via KVM) and possibly TV?

Hi.

Main goal: better sound from laptops (currently on regular, dual external speakers via KVM Switch). 5.1 for full immersion is preferable.

Question: HOW and with what? Can I purchase any 5.1 Bluetooth system and connect everything to them via Bluetooth? Do I need to hardwire to TV and then connect via BT when on laptops?

If Bluetooth, you will need to pair with each system individually. What sort of a KVM are you working with? I also doubt you're going to find a KVM that allows multichannel audio outside of stereo audio source.
