Budget AMD CPU

Hi, im curious about AMD CPU for "upgrade" 7 y.o. PC.
SPEC:

MB: GA-MA78LMT-S2
GPU: Radeon 7850 1GB
RAM: 4 Gb (it will be upgraded to 8)
CPU: AMD Athlon x2 250

I´m looking for 95W CPU. I got 3 favorites.

1) AMD Phenom II X6 1045T
2) AMD Phenom II X4 945
3) AMD Phenom II X4 925

I´m asking which one (It does not be from these 3) is better for the prize/power and for gaming like (dota2, CS:GO, some newer stuff - not the 2017 games).

And if it is worth to buy stuff like this

The 1045T is about 58€
The 945 is about 46€
and the 925 is about 36€

That said, for €12 difference the 1045t is definitely worth it.

In general I dont advise that people spend money on such old hardware but it looks like the most cost effective option for you. The cheapest upgrade to current tech would be:

Yeah, well..now I´m just looking and searching for the prices, I´m from Czech republic, so I need to look for the customs prices, and stuff from EU so, I dont need to pay more then the price. Just curious which is the best for such an old PC like mine.

Youth motherboard can support 95w AM3+ CPU if you update to the most current BIOS. Pop an FX-6300 in the and you'll see a massive boost in performance.

I recently update my BIOS to F14 version (the latest one). So, you think, it is the best choice to buy FX 6300 instead of 1045 which, is like 10€ low on price. Hm, Thats interesting. The gigabyte site doesnt work for now, but got screen from friend

(http://imgur.com/a/HuEW2) and there is a Fx 4100 which is not supported, so I dont think so the 6300 is compatible. Need some prove on the internet or somebody who got this MB and got this CPU (6300).

I´m confused which the revision do I have, jesus..probably need to find the box..is there any other way to be sure which rev it is?

Your motherboard is AM3, not AM3+

FX won't work

Finally I found it. MB is rev. 3.4 which means it is 3.x on the gigabyte (http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/GA-MA78LMT-S2-rev-3x#support-cpu) and there is no FX support neither the AM3+.

So best CPU is the x6 1045t and for the MB is compatible Phenom x6 1065t 95W for bios F13.

Nvm It´s ok. I made mistake too with the revision of MB. So, all of you guys think, the x6 1045T 95W is the best for me, is that right?
