Hi everyone,

I'm looking to build my very first gaming desktop PC but I'm on a strict budget where I need to make the system and get the necessary peripherals as well since I'm only on a laptop right now.

This is what I'm thinking...

Antec One
Corsair GS-600 V2 Power Supply
Samsung S20B300B 20in Widescreen LED Monitor
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-D3 Motherboard
AMD FX-6300 6 Core Processor
Gigabyte Radeon HD7850 2GB OC
Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX
Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 Retail
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with SP1 OEM
Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003
LG GH24NS90 24x SATA DVD-RW Drive OEM
ASUS USB-N13 Wireless Pro N USB Adaptor
Razer Arctosa Gaming Keyboard Silver
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler

Tell me what you think.

see if you can get windows and microsoft office from a friend or family member so you can put more money into your processor and go intel i5

If you are a student your school should offer a massive discount on MS office. I don't see a mouse in your list, do you have one? You should look at Newegg deals for the monitor. They have been having 21.5" 1920x1080 monitors for ~$100.
