I'm switching from ps3 to pc soon and I'm gonna build my first rig. The thing is, I'm trying to keep the budget as low as possible but still get 1080p with good fps. Here's kinda a plan for my CPU, mobo, and gpu. Let me know if you think this will run bf4 nice, and what kinda fps I'm looking at if I play on a 32" hd tv in 1080p with at least high settings.

CPU: AMD FX 6300 3.5ghz
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131872
GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127726

Let me know what you guys think, I'm new at this and I love me some battlefield. Also, I was hoping there was a controller for pc that's like a console controller vs a keyboard and mouse, so if anyone knows, feel free to throw that in too.
Thanks!

8320 is the best bang for the buck. IT has boost cores to 4.0ghz to get it near 8350 speeds when it needs too and still has 8 cores. With a decent motherboard, you can overclock it easily. I just hit 4.78ghz on mine and it's well within temps.

Best video card, look for cyber monday deals for a 7870, be good for gaming, and should hit around $150 if on sale, especially with the r270x pushing it out.

The items you mentioned will only let you play the game at medium (at best).
Here is a better build:

The total being less than the xbox one.
You can also overclock the cpu and gpu for better performance since aftermarket coolers are used on both.

Thanks for all the help guys. Ive been doing more research and i definitely need to up my budget, haha. Now I'm looking at this AMD FX 8350 processor because I also make a living recording bands so i might as well just get the extra 2 cores and suck up the money since there will be a lot of multitasking. Also, the video card i suggested i can see is very weak. What would be the best gnu i can get under $150? Sorry for changing it all up, I'm still getting used to this.

As for the controller, I'm not worried about ps3 vs xbox 360 style, I'm just concerned about the feel and action of the joysticks. A good friend of mine joined the navy and he plays on pc now and from what i hear, PC is the way to go so i figured instead of blowing money on a ps4, i might as well get a custom PC.

@H4X3R: That looks like an awesome build for that price, thank you!

Thanks Again!

I would still go 8320 if your on a budget and trying to save money. Not a big difference over the 8350

The 8320 is stock 3.5ghz turbo boost 4.0ghz
The 8350 is stock 4.0ghz turbo boost 4.2ghz

The 8350 will overclock more, but under full load, is only 200mhz faster with turbo boost on. I would use the $40 difference between the two CPU's for a better motherboard, better cooling or better video card, more RAM, lots of things it could go toward than that small boost.

ya if you do audio/video, firewire is still king. of course you can buy a pci-express firewire card for like $15 so don't base it off that. Half the time audio interfaces work best with a specific firewire chipset anyways and you end up buying a card. Did that for someone not too long ago. Built an audio machine, got firewire on board, their presonus didn't like it, bought a $15 card recommended by the manufacturer, and poof, fied.

Ok, thanks, thats good to know, i have presonus as well, haha.

As for video cards…Im coming to find out people dump their money into these things more than anything else. Whats the best GPU for BF4? You said a 7870, which I'm assuming means the speed? Sorry for asking the same thing so much, I'm just a little unclear.

Thanks for all the help!
