Alright... Building a system for a friend. Hes got a budget of $1000. I have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to put in the system.

However I need a motherboard thats a good price and supports 1333FSB speeds. Doesnt have to be SLI or Crossfire but a board with good overclock capabilities would be great. Hes probably going to do some gaming but nothing to extensive.

I'm probably going to get him into an 8800GTS 320 and an E6550.

Most likely looking at a 600-650w Thermaltake PSU.

The board aevm pointed out is also a very good board. I don't know what your price-range is on the Mobo though. If you have the $, get the Gigabyte board.

Yeah, come to think of it, $1000 is a bit tight if it has to include an 8800 GTS. We may need to go cheaper on the mobo. How about GA-P35-S3L?

Does that $1000 need to include Windows, monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse too?

$1000 is just for the tower. He already has all the other stuff.

The Gigabyte board looks good to me. I was actually thinking about that board in particular but thought I would get some input.

Thanks
