Budget Build for 500 $

Solution

Depends whether he wants to upgrade soon to i5 or not.. the difference between 6100 and 6300 is $25 so if you want to save some money sure go for 6100 it'll perform the same as i5 4460 but leave you more room for better upgrades in the future

I suggest the combination of i5 4460 and r7 370.You have massive cpu perfomance increase from i3 6100 and very little loss from the gpu. Also the i5 4460 as a true quadcore will have higher lifespan than the 6100.

Where did you get that information? Do you proof that haswell cpu will have higher lifespan than skylake?

Anyway if this is a build for gaming then get i3 6300 with R9 280.

i3 6300 will outperform i5 4460 in gaming and R9 280 is stronger than GTX 950 also for the same money :)

I don't know where you live so I don't know if you can order from these shops but this is what I would buy and would add $50 more or remove PC case if you already have one or a HDD to save money.

If you can't afford extra $50 then replace R9 380 with SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 280

Do you have proof for this? Benchmarks ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZmb0y-3hQ4

0:00 - GTA 5
1:00 - Project Cars
1:40 - Dirt Rally
2:15 - F1 2015
2:50 - Crysis 3
3:35 - The Witcher 3
4:10 - Assassin's Creed Syndicate
4:55 - ArmA 3
5:45 - Fallout 4
6:25 - Battlefield Hardline
7:00 - Batman: Arkham Knight

Most of these games utilize 4cores or more but even then i3 6300 outperforms i5 4460 or will have the same fps -> plus you have more future proof build for future upgrades with skylake therefore I see no reason going haswell build if this is going to be a gaming pc.

PS: All games company will utilize 90% of the game computing in the 2 processor cores even tho they can utilize more cores which is why i3 6300 is better

Can you show me the benchmarks and performance differences between the processors? I don't care what people say, I trust the numbers and computers ;)

You argument is not valid.

I play games such as CS:GO and etc ,so i think to go with 6300 + 950 XTREME by Gigabyte ;)

CS:GO source can engine is only capable of using 2 cores so i3 6300 will perform amazing. Also if you take a proper motherboard such as ASRock B150/H170 Gaming K4/Hyper or MSI B150M bazooka and a decent speed DDR4 ram, you will be able to overclock i3 6300 easily on 4.4-4.5GHz

That would be an instance where saving money for the i3-6100 would be smart, as they are practically performing the same way anyway and overclock the same aswell (silicon lottery matter). Save 25 dollars and get a motherboard as good as the ASRock B150 Gaming/Hyper. You literally don't lose a fraction of performance. Also, you'll be able to run DDR4-2800+ memory, wouldn't miss out on it. 10+ fps difference in the latest open world games.

Yes I agree, if you want to go for BCLK overclock get 6100 to save that $25 for better motherboard and ram... If you still got an extra $25 to spend then still go for 6300 but a better motherboard is a must
