Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a new build. My intentions are to be gaming at 1080p60 but someone told me that I should have gone for 1440p and 144hz gaming in order to cope with PS5 games when they were ported to PC. Is it true that going higher Hz and resolution lower stress that CPU have ? I have a 39" 1080@60p LED high latency TV but I never noticed any delays, and it would be hard for me to get used to smaller screen by having 1440p144hz. They are so expensive in my country. I have never seen 144hz screen in action. Does it really worth it for higher res and hz ? I only do singleplayer gaming and never go online for competitive ones.
Do I need to get constant 144fps to see the difference ? Both G SYNC and Freesync are available in my country so I can only get those in future.
I have these:
AOPEN 650W 12V 624W 52A BRONZE PSU
COOLER MASTER SILENCIO 650 CASE
SAMSUNG EVO 840 250GB SSD (OS INSTALLED) WIN10 PRO X64
SAMSUNG HD753LJ
People always told me that my PSU is so horrible that I should dispose it quickly but it never failed me when using FX 8350 along with R9 280X under heavy load gaming for five years. Not even a hard freeze or power loss etc. I never needed to put on the heater in my room during winters thanks to high TDP overload. I managed to play Metro Exodus with satisfaction an no FPS drops by having those overclocked heaters haha.
So I would like to upgrade my system around 600$ what are your suggestions ?
I live in a poor country with very high taxation and failing local currency so I can only go for Ryzen CPUs. Also does RTX 2060 worth it for ray tracing and longevity ?
Thank you.
