My friend wants a pc one pre built or then buy all the parts and put it together wich would be me because he dont know that much about computers.

He has a pretty low budget at 600€ euros wich is about 800 dollars and in that price he wants to include a monitor and keyboard+ mouse and some speakers.

The computer for him will most only be to surf the net, watch some videos and do some work on just normal stuff that most computers can do.

But he wants the computer for his son too that is 9 years old, so he wont play any crazy high end ultra graphics games yet but in the next few years he most likley will start to play some more "real" games and maybe some more graphics demanding.

So i have put together this build

Mobo:
Asus M5A97-LE-R2.0
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131872

Ram
HyperX 2x4GB, DDR3 1600MHz, CL9
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104262

Case
Comrade, ATX-miditornikotelo, musta
http://www.amazon.co.uk/BitFenix-Comrade-Midi-Tower-black-Netzteil/dp/B00HG2VDO2

Hard Drive
1TB Barracuda, 3.5", Sata3, 7200rpm, 64MB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840

Optical Drive
DRW-24F1ST, polttava DVD-asema, SATA, Musta Bulk
http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-DRW-24F1ST-Asus-Drw-24f1st-90DD0190-B10000/dp/B00H7HERTO

Monitor
Asus VS229HV 21,5" IPS LED
http://www.amazon.co.uk/VS229HV-Widescreen-Monitor-1920x1080-DVI-D/dp/product-description/B00GGQFXE0

That would be all the new parts we would buy now i happen too have a cpu,psu and gpu left over since i have upgraded my own rig

Cpu
Amd fx-4100
http://www.amazon.com/AMD-4-Core-Processor-Socket-FD4100WMGUSBX/dp/B005UBNL0A

Psu:
500W, Strider Essential, ATX 2.3, 80 Plus
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256061

Gpu:
ASUS EAH6850 DirectCU
http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/EAH6850_DC2DIS1GD5/

And i would sell all those parts psu+cpu+gpu for 150€ so thats pretty cheap

So please let me know if i could change any parts to make this build cheaper as mobo or something, and let me know if you think something wont work good together or fit all opinions are usefull.

And will all this fit in the case without any problems? or would you suggest me a better case
He dont want any really big case so mid or so like this would be ok.

Thx

as i told you the only one that will be playing is his son that is 9 and he wont play that much yet and no bf ultra graphic games and the 6850 handle normal games good on high settings even bf3 on high settings at 45 fps.

Read the full post before you comment

all i can say is budget an FX 6300 into the build instead of the 4100. its not that much more money but the gains will be big in all areas + other parts will be upgradable around it (i.e its six piledriver cores can handle a better a GPU than the weak bulldozer four core can.) so in 4 years time when your son does want to play the "cooler" games out there, you will be able to accommodate for that easily. if you HAVE to cut costs, cut it in the monitor

you i know piledriver is much better then bulldozer but i have the fx-4100 as extra so it would be so much cheaper then putting in a other cpu it would rise the cost so much + i would put in a better gpu but since hes budget is so low its hard to do so, all the prices are in euros and in Finland so its more expensive then if you compare to newsegg etc

lol just because you watched a few videos on youtube of people running bf 3 on a 6850 sure but the fact of the matter is its not a optimal experience whats so ever constant dips belows 20 fps at those settings this build needs a 750k and a 760 or 660 if you want to actually enjoy 1080p gaming.

i had that gpu myself before i changed to a 7970 and fx-8350 so i did run bf 3 on high settings with fx-4100 and the asus radeon hd 6850 and had almost constant around 45 fps and thats in bf 3.

His son wont play any games like that yet like i said i will most likley be games like minecraft etc for now and for some years more that gpu will do fine for that needs.

This is not a gaming build for hardcore gaming this is a normal use desktop with the ability to play some games later on with ok graphics and smooth.

i myself want all games to run 60+ fps on ultra settings on 1080p res

but with a budget of only 600€ incuding a monitor+ mouse+keyboard its hard to put in high end components.

And your answers havent answered anything i asked i just gave an example not that he will play any games that is gpu demanding yet and even when the fx-4100 is a low end cpu it stills serves everyday needs and some gaming just fine with no problems.
