Hey,

So someone had suggested some changes to a previous build I posted before and I am wondering what your thoughts are on this "budget build." To give you insight, I do game and stream on Twitch so I am needing something I can enjoy games without issues but nothing too crazy. My budget is close to or around $900 as I plan on selling my current build.

Current Build:
MOBO: ASUS Fatal1ty 990-FX
CPU: AMD Vishera 6300-FX
RAM: 16GB G.Skill Sniper
GPU: PowerColor Radeon R9 270x Turbo Duo 2GB
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken x61
PSU: Corsair CX600 Builders Series

New Build:

Do you think the upgrade and performance enhancements I'd see is worth the $900 from what I currently have? Let me know your opinions & any suggestions you have.

Thank you!

If you can wait until April 11th AMD's Ryzen 5 will be released, and you should be able to compare benchmarks with the i5 6600k. It won't beat it at straight gaming, but gaming + streaming could be a very different story given the higher core/thread count. Not to mention lower costs if there are no supply problems. Wouldn't commit without seeing reviews first of course.

Of the two you've posted, both are fine.
Personally I'd probably go with the second one with the 7500 & the 8GB Rx480

You can cut cost by going with a nice B250 board and scrap the cooler as the stock cooler is usually sufficient
Might be able to squeeze in a 1070 that way.

I did some changes.. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mqntqk

I wasn't able to find a reasonable 1070 to work with to keep the price around $900.

If you think you need a cooler, go for a Cryorig M9i
The H7 is just a waste of money for that CPU.

Otherwise fine build.

You could alternatively go for a Ryzen 5 build and get more physical cores for the same money at the expense of slightly lower clocks

This is what I've come up with. I got rid of the SSD, changed up the motherboard, and added the Cryorig M9i instead.

Thank you. I was actually debating on adding that CPU cooler as I had it on my current build before I upgraded to the Kraken x61 but then realized I may not have the right brackets. But nonetheless, I will just purchase it a new one with this new build.
