Hey guys, I'm trying to put together a gaming rig for less than $800. I already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. So far this is my build:

I don't plan on ever really bothering with Crossfire. Any suggestions?

this combo is a better mobo and is cheaper than your current build because of the $30 off and you get MIR too.

the gigabyte mobo should still be a good one, like i said i prefer Asus. everything looks good!

Here is a few things I would change to get more out of that build yet stay under $800.

PSU...you don't need 650w if you don't plan on running Crossfire.

Now use that money you saved and get an after market heatsink so you can get more out of that build. You can give that cpu a mild bump to 3.6Ghz @ 1600 fsb (9 x 400).

I've never OCed a computer before, little nervous about it.

Nothing to it with the E8400...all you do is move up your FSB to 9x400 and you get a nice mild overclock that doesn't fry the chip, and your trucking right along at 3.6GHz @ 1600 FSB...and that memory will clock right along with it.

LOL....ya. That case is probably one of the best cases for airflow that you will find. It's set up to run 8x120mm case fans, has a side air duct, two side air vents, a ventilated front...that's set up for fans, and the top of the case is vented and set up for two fans. Take a look at the pics of that case, then click onto "Specs" and scroll down below where it gives the details. That case is a strictly gaming case if there ever was one.
