Budget CPU for MoBo

Anyone got any ideas of a good budget CPU for this motherboard (MoBo: M4A78LT-M)? I'm building a budget gaming PC and slowly upgrading things as I go. I do not plan on upgrading my MoBo anytime soon and was wondering if there were any good CPUs compatible for around $50-$100 (can be used)? Thanks so much.

You can use up to PhenomII X4 or X6, which were fine CPUs- but are not exactly new, so will not perform very well with latest demanding games. For general tasks and light gaming it would work fine.

The best CPUs available for that motherboard don't meet the minimum requirements for some new games. If you're alright with that, a Phenom II (circa 2008-2009) x4 would be your best bet. Chances are good you'll experience instability if you try to use an x6 in that board.
