Budget CPU Mobo

I'm really stuck on a whether to go with the A88x chipset and a 860k vs something say an i3 or G3258 but with a "not as great" chipset (ex. B85 or other low cost chipsets). If it was a 860k or a Pentium I'd end up overclocking.
 
If I went Intel, I feel I'd lack some multi-tasking giving up 2 cores for either 2 threads or just lose 2 cores.
If I went AMD, I'd end up saving some money not needing a Z97 (I'd upgrade to an i5), and be able to spend it on other things. But I'd need to spend more money later on a new Z97 and the i5.
I probably won't upgrade till the end of this year or August next year at most.
I mean at most I'd be in a game, skyping, and playing music or having a few Firefox tabs open.

There you go. With this mobo you are limited to a locked i5/i7 though I personally dot think that you need to overclock an i5 to get good multitasking or frame rate from it.
 
To get the most out of the Pentium you need to OC it, do you know how well it does considering none of the reviews I saw showed OC results (Anniversary boards OC only the G3258 if I'm not mistaken, could be wrong).
