Hello,

I want to build a budget desktop pc graphic design (photoshop, illustrator). I'd like to spend no more than $650. Hopefully around $500-600.

Dell and HP have system with Intel Quad Q8400, 4GB RAM and dedicated 512MB video for around $650 after rebates. Does that sound like a good deal?

Please let me know your recommendations. I plan on buying this weekend.

Thanks!

nope build your own. you get more for the money. also we need to know more about you. like your monitor resolution. are you going to over clock. do you want sli or crossfire.stuff like that. there is a sticky that says how to post a thread (something like that) copy and paste it. then answer the questions. it is prety simple

Ok, I'm new to this so wasn't sure how to ask. Here it is. Thanks!

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This weekend.

BUDGET RANGE: 500-650

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Graphic Design (photoshop and illustrator) with wacom table. I do a lot of illustration.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: mouse, monitor and speakers.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg

PARTS PREFERENCES: No preferences. Cost-effective and reliable.

OVERCLOCKING: No

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080 NEC EA231WMI-BK 23"

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I already have monitor listed above. Would also need to get win7 and I'm not sure if a 64 bits system would be best for me as I probably can't get more that 4GB RAM.

Thanks for your recommendations!
