I am looking for a flight sim product and don;t know what to buy

MS flight simulator is a good start, older versions can be found for very cheap. There is also this http://www.flightgear.org/ http://x-plane.com/ http://www.proflightsimulator.com/

Most if not all should have at least a demo you can try for free.
