I was thinking of building a new pc but the cost of ram and graphics cards at the moment is a bit crazy. i have a 500watt power supply, ssd, and 16gbs of ddr3 left off an old build. what ddr3 compatible motherboard and cpu would you suggest? i mainly play e sport titles like heroes of the storm and overwatch. a gpu and case recommendation would also be appreciated.

I'd look for a used Intel Haswell/Devils Canyon i5/i7 with motherboard. For those games a 1050 ti or something similar would work fine at 1080P and for a case the Fractal Design Focus G is nice for the price.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Case: Fractal Design - Focus G (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($54.94 @ Amazon)
Total: $54.94
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Or sell your DDR3 and go with the Ryzen 3 2200G and use the iGPU to game on as this may save you a bit of cash and can run those games on lower settings at 1080P.
