Change the ram to 2x4gb for dual channel capability (slightly better performance)
Do you already own the PSU ??
If so it will do the job but there are better options for around the same money.

No I do not own the PSU..

The motherboard does not support Dual Channel.....
So that's why 1x8GB Ram stick

I bought the cpu days ago because I was unaware of the haswell line being so cheap.

I am gonna check on the motherboard........

that gigabyte h61 mobo does not support support any more than 1333mhz in ram !!
