Hi, I'm looking to put together a build for around £400 for my 10 year old brother for Christmas. He plays a lot of games like Minecraft and Roblox, but I'd like it to have the capability to play some current games ideally.

Room for expansion and upgrades would be great too!

Thanks,
Connor

This should do what you want well enough. With an SSD it will be quite responsive. It can also support decent upgrades in the future. While the GT 1030 is no speed demon. It will handle those games easily enough and some more demanding titles.

1050 is much better than 1030, you should be able to run most games on med-low setting:

I like the G4560 builds.
8gb of ddr4 ram is fine.
Buy a 450w psu to allow for future graphics upgrade to as good as a GTX1060.
Buy no worse than a tier 3 unit from a list such as this:

I suggest deferring on the graphics card and use integrated graphics initially.
It should be fine for minecraft.
Later, you can add whatever stronger card you might need.
