Budget gaming computer; 965 vs 6300?

Building a budget gaming computer, and I'm currently trying to decide between the Phenom 965 ($89), or the FX-6300 ($119)

In your opinion, is the 6300 worth the extra $30? Or would I be best to stick with the 965?

I will NOT be over-clocking.

its a little bit faster, 95w tdp so it will run cooler as well. i would just spend the extra 30 bucks

I think it's worth the extra $30. The 6300 is 32nm and 965 is 45nm, which makes a big difference in efficiency plus the 6300 has 2 extra threads that may be useful in the future when games are optimized to use more threads.

I have a 6300 and I can tell you theyre great and it stays pretty cool even when gaming
