I was wondering if this build would be alright for playing some games on medium-high settings.
Games I play:
DayZ
H1Z1
Leage of Legends
Smite

If you get a cheaper case, you may have enough money to get a GTX 960.

It should be fine, however id go with a g3258 for those games, and OC that pentium good for almost same performance as high end CPUS on those games. And intel based will allow more upgrade options.

I would personally go with a build like this : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YfzmJx If you'd perfer to go with nVidia you can absolutely switch the r9 280 out for a GTX 960. With this motherboard and CPU Cooler you should be able to overclock the cpu to the mid-high 4 GHz range. This would be a great budget build and i personally plan on doing one for myself very similar to this.
