First of all I wanted to say hello and that this is the greatest site Ive ever been directed to. Second I want to build a gaming PC by beginning of 2013. I want to play games like farcry, natural selection, call of duty, etc and I will not need an os. My budget is in between $5-600. Thanx everyone. Btw I searched quite a bit but threads like this are so versatile and plentiful that the majority I came across didnt match my current preference of setup. I dont need a casing, power supply, monitor, mouse, or keyboard. I would like to get the most bang out of that buck if possible. Thanx again!

I hope the power supply we dont need to include is a decent one on your end.

For 600$

i5 3570k - 200$
AsRock extreme 3g3 - 100$
Ripjaws 2 x 4gb (8GB) - 30$
Geforce GTX600 - 220$
Western Digital caviar green HDD - 70$

I'd recomend this, and these are average prices, I recomend you google these or search them on Amazon, newegg, or eBay.

The psu better be good, if not get a Antec High Current Gamer 520/620W Depending on the price. The 620W is cheaper then the 520W at the moment..

EDIT: took out the case..

I have a Eco-Smart Sli ready AGI-U550UBBK 550w Power Supply, model # HEC-550TW-TF. Hopefully good enough to power any rig you guys can list out for me. I bought it around 2-3 years ago for $110 which was overkill for my previous setup and its been sitting in my closet ready to go into the next system. Barely used btw, maybe 2-3 months at most. Thanx again for the quick replies too. If possible list me a couple more options. Thanx fellas.

All Good?
Also wanna add that I want to run planetside 2 and natural selection 2

Just reinforcing what I posted before, an Intel i5 will mean that you will get a pretty shitty GPU. That leaves an AMD CPU and the FX-6300 is a decent one for the price range. That graphics card can run any game on high, if not max settings.

Checking in wanted to see what you guys thought about this one.

I guess I could shell out and ramp that memory up to 8gigs. Getting a newer case later but I have like 5 on hand right now so Ill wait on that. SSD as well. Anything wrong with this setup or anything I should change? Thanx!

I have just read that certain vid card chipsets work better with particular motherboard and cpus? As much as I personally like this setup is this going to be as efficient as can be or should I start over?
