Hello,
my laptop just broke down,
which I used to play some games on, it didn't go too well but hey, it worked.
So now I am looking to build a desktop to temporally get me going and maybe upgrade it in the future.
Unfortunately I don't have that much experience and from what I have seen on the answers on this forum I'm pretty sure people here have a better view of things. So I'm hoping you guys might be willing to help me with it.

Games that I play: League of Legends, Minecraft, CS:Go, in the future Half-Life 3
I already have:
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250 GB
Some Hard Drives (also 1TB NAS)
Windows 8.1
this is what i tried:

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5g Thermal Paste
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Memory: Kingston Blu Red Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7770 1GB Video Card
Case: Raidmax Atlas ATX-295WB ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply
Total: $585.59

Thermal Paste and Cooler, I don't really know if i need them but I might be trying a little bit of overclocking and I think that it would help cool the cpu. (also I can get a cpu+mobo+cooler+paste combo for a little percent off)
really not sure about it

Thanks for helping.

side-note: the gpu on the mobo just disappeared in device manager, i'm guessing it got too hot, happened alot. it's an Asus X52, if you have one don't install other operating systems, that's what broke it, in about 3 months every time in my case

With the ssd this should go very fast. however this build does need some storage, unless you plan to use only that ssd. Also you will need to have an operating system, but seeing as this is not included in the prices i will assume you already have it for now.

Solution

Seeing as the OP included a CPU cooler in his design then i assume he wants one. same with thermal paste

updated the thread, thanks for your answer.
I'm not sure about the cooler and paste, i assume i will need it, unless the stock coolers are good enough.

thanks,
would you recommend 2x4Gb? 1x8 is cheaper but i imagine it has something to do with dual channel?

okay, i'm going for
amd fx 6300 (no oc stuff, i can buy it later)
Saphire 7870 2GB OC dual x

I live in Belgium, tried to make it easier by looking in american stores to get a build. But some parts were not available (7870 xt only in 1 shop and that shop didn't have everything else)
Also damn, about 540 EUR for my build now, in dollar 723,6.
About the same prices in EUR on newegg but in dollar, sucks to be me.
Thanks for the help
