I'm making my first gaming PC with about $350 for the PC and the rest for a setup. Here are the parts that I have researched for WEEKS and I just want to make sure:

Processor: AMD AMD A6-7400K FM2+ BOX APU 3.6 2 Socket FM2+

Motherboard: Asus MicroATX DDR3 2000 AMD AM3+ Motherboard M5A78L-M/USB3

Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB Single DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800)

Storage: Western Digital Blue 1TB Desktop 3.5 Inch SATA 6Gb/s 7200rpm Internal Hard Drive

Video Card: MSI Radeon R7 240 2GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI Low Profile PCI-Express Video Card

Power Supply: Logisys Corp. 480W 240-Pin Dual Fan 20+4 ATX Power Supply PS480D2

Case: Rosewill Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case FBM-01

I've looked at the tutorials and builds on YouTube and other websites, including the Boson, and reviews say that they will not be able to play big games so I wanted to confirm to see if the Boson was a good budget Gaming PC as well.

Thank You

Round up at least another $150, from there you can build a respectable budget rig. These specs are quite at the low-low end of the spectrum.
This is the build I've made for you in the $350+ spectrum:

This build can play 1080P at reasonable settings, the Pentium is a great overclocker and should push you through games easily except for games that requires quad core support. You can also change the motherboard for a better one, that i selected Biostar cause the quality and price point are great. You can also change the case that supports front USB 3.0.

Aside from the cores and API optimizations of the PS4, the specs I've given is on par or slightly lower though at the same price point. This website said that a rig based on Athlon x760K is on par with it: http://www.cheatsheet.com/technology/cheap-gaming-pc-builds-to-rival-ps4-and-xbox-one.html/?a=viewall
(not sure to trust em fully or not though)

Or the AMD Value build guide from LinusTechTips.
