I am looking for a budget graphics card (under $250) and I am starting with a very low bar with the integrated Intel HD 630 graphics. My monitor is LG 27UD68P (4k 60hz) that is compatible with freesynch. My question is should I go with an AMD freesynch card such as the RX5500XT or an Nvidia card (GTX 1660 or 1650S)? CPU is a I7-7700. I hear the drivers for AMD are rather bothersome but wondering, at this low end, if freesynch would be an advantage or a go with slightly more powerful Nvidia card which wouldn't be freesynch compatible. I am a light gamer (ie Flight Sim) currently, so maybe it doesn't make any difference. My PSU is 350W so I am expecting to upgrade it also if needed, especially if I go the AMD route. Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

ASUS MC32K (MC32k MB)
i7-7700, 12 GB DDR4
512 mb SDD
1 tb internal HD
1 tb external HD USB 3.0
LG27UDP68P monitor
PSU 350W

you need a new psu for sure :( 50 dollars will get you a 500 watt bronze rated psu
right now you are looking at about an 8gb 5500xt but come black friday you could be looking at a 1660 maybe a super if you get really lucky

shame about the psu 250 for a card alone could work pretty well
