Hi guys, I'm looking to purchase a cheap gpu while i save up for a much better rig. It would have to be compatible with my specs (see below) however it would only have to handle games like minecraft and the tekkit expansion etc...

I would really like it to be as cheap as possible.

My specs:
Manufacturer/Model: Packard Bell IMEDIA B2316 AIO
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20 GHz 2203 Mhz 2 cores
RAM: 2GB

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (Service Pack 2)

I live in the UK.

A Nvidia GT 210 has been suggested but i cant find one, is there any other suggestions or anyone know where to get one?

Thanks in advance

The 8600GT if you can find one for £15-£20. Funnily enough, the only game that it plays well is Minecraft. I was getting 255 FPS with that card, but sub 30 in Mount and Blade, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and even Freespace 2.

So yeah. If you just want MC, get an 8600GT.

nVidia makes the chip on the card, several manufacturers produce the cards (MSI, Asus, Gigabyte, Gainward, EVGA, PNY etc). Check these:

scan.co.uk
novatech.co.uk
aria.co.uk
dabs.com
ebuyer.com

You'll have no problem finding a GT210 on those.

EDIT: And you could probably find a 8600GT too (which as MajinCry says is a better card) or a GT610 (newer but still only £30).

And by the way, there's tonnes of PC games you can play on it, just not new stuff. It's one of the great things about PC gaming though - there's over 20 years of titles you can play, 15 years of which will run on a cheap card. Command & Conquer Generals (and Zero Hour) addon would be awesome, or Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Unreal 2, Unreal Tournament 2003/2004, Hitman 2, Manhunt, GTA San Andreas etc... you could open a thread in the gaming section for more suggestions.
