Switching to nvidia you have to go for gtx 750 ti which would be a serious downgrade from R9 270x.
What PSU do you have? With more powerful cards, you will need more power.

Cs go can run smoothly with inbuilt graphic card and most of the low end cards so just for cs go you dont need a 200 $ card but you can o for R9 280 its the best you can get at your price range.

I would go with this 270x. It's a nice card that should last your a while. You also might become interested in a more demanding game in the future, and it would suck to have to upgrade your GPU again after less than a year or something. I would say get this.
