Budget Graphics card

Hello all! I am on a mission to refurbish an old PC I am using into something that can run a few games.

Specs:
- Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 CPU
- 8GB DDR2 PC2-6300 800mhz RAM
- 500GB 7200 RPM HDD
- Zorin OS
- Current video card: Dell VIDEO CARD 256MB PCIE PCI-Express DVI/SV HH Half Height

I bought the bare bones system with the CPU, Motherboard, PSU, and GPU for $10. Added RAM + a HDD I had into it. Total I am around $60-70 into the whole system and am not looking to sink to much money into it given the age.

Any suggestions are appreciated, I am not looking to spend more than $50 maximum.

Just looked up Zorin OS. It's a version of Linux. Can't advise you on cards for that OS.

99% of hardware is compatible as far as I can tell.

RAM is a concern for me, but I am mostly playing older games, so it doesn't need to be OP.

Linux/Zorin may have their own list of compatible hardware (?).
